Pamela Otto, RN, Director of Medical Management-Practice Leader
Ms. Otto has 35 years’ experience in nursing and health education, including 20 years in the workers' compensation industry that includes managing the education and training of case managers, adjustors and RNs throughout the nation.  

With her clinical background, hands-on case management expertise, UR credentialing skills, and talents in education, product development, and sales and marketing, she is an outstanding asset to the EK Health executive team.

As Director of Medical Management-Practice Leader, Ms. Otto is responsible for managing EK Health’s URAC accreditation process, as well as insuring the company maintains URAC compliance and consistency in applying best practices throughout the company.  

Ms. Otto developed, manages and oversees two of EK Health’s signature programs related to containing high costs associated with delayed recovery and legacy claims. EK Health First Step Early Identification/Intervention Program℠ incorporates predictive modeling to address risk factors that could lead to costly legacy claims. EK Health Next Step Medical Advisory Program℠ addresses costly chronic pain cases frequently associated with poly pharmacy/poly substance abuse issues which have become legacy claims.

Her education/training responsibilities include managing continuing education internally for EK staff and externally for EK Health clients whose case managers, adjusters and RNs need national and state continuing education for accreditation.

After receiving an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Rio Hondo College in Whittier, CA., Ms. Otto studied healthcare  administration from California State University, Fullerton, CA. She holds a registered nurse license in multiple states.
