EK HEALTH HOSTS SEMINAR MARCH 23 ON PHARMACOLOGY OF CHRONIC PAIN
Half-day Pasadena event held for workers’ comp stakeholders
PASADENA, California – February 17, 2011 – EK Health Services is hosting a half-day seminar Wednesday, March 23 in Pasadena to help workers’ compensation stakeholders understand prescription drug management for chronic pain.
The educational event, offering CEU (Continued Education Unit) credits and lunch, is being held from 10 am to 2:30 pm at the Pasadena Hilton, 168 South Los Robles Ave. It is open to payers, employers and medical professionals who treat injured workers. Early reservations are recommended, as space is limited.
With the proliferation of narcotic drugs prescribed injured workers with chronic pain, patients often can receive multiple prescriptions, leading to 20 to 30 percent prescription cost escalation.
