With growth in the nations ethnically diverse population, health care providers need more than multilingual skills to help injured workers return to work. Cultural barriers often accompany language barriers, placing these injured workers at higher risk of negative health consequences or dissatisfaction with their care.
EK Health’s bilingual nurses and interpreters are specially trained to go beyond basic language to bridge the gap created by cultural and social influences including family, religion, health care beliefs and values.
