First Step Early Identification/Intervention Program℠: This EK Health proprietary program, targeted at reducing disability medical payment by 5-10% of current spending brings payers an unprecedented opportunity to recognize injured workers with the potential for delayed recovery and return to work at the earliest opportunity, within 30 days of injury.

Next Step Medical Advisory Program℠: Peer to peer and specialty physician consultants for interventions and recommendations to impact difficult cases. Medical Provider Networks: A network with over 5,600 core qualified medical service providers throughout California. EK Health’s MPN’s are highly customizable and developed for each employer’s specific need.

Utilization Review: URAC workers' compensation utilization management accredited. Over 1,000,000 cases completed. Reliable and high-quality and defensible reviews. Follows all regulations and Best Practices. No hidden costs.

Peer Review: Also URAC workers' compensation utilization management accredited. Over 170 peer review nurses and physicians covering 43 specialties. Completed over 1,000,000 cases with quick responses and thorough, defensible determination letters.

Medical Bill Management: An innovative national Medical Bill Management software program that creates an average overall gross savings above 75%. When compared with other bill review companies, this is an additional cost savings of 8% to 20%. Our Utilization Review/Pre-Authorization system complements this Medical Bill Management software by enforcing optimal control over the gap between Utilization Review/Pre-Authorized and Bill Processing. Our bill reviews are State compliant.

Medicare Set Aside Services: A comprehensive suite of products designed to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Act. Competitive Advantage: Our Paperless Technology

EK Health uses its own proprietary software system called Ahshay, developed by DataCare Services. This fully automated software creates for us a paperless environment and allows for 24/7 real time communication, referral process, document/medical records receipt and processing and immediate delivery of reports and determination letters. We also offer this as a value-added service to our clients, and four companies are currently integrating this software into their systems.
